Summary

Performs timely review and verification of coding information for radiology charges. Implements and performs all corrections of coding information according to regulations and guidelines established by policy. Serves as department and hospital resource for verification of radiology charges and script information.

Full Time/32-Hour Week/Days

Summary

Formal Education Required

  • High school level course work in English Grammar, Composition and Basic Mathematics.

Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with those contacted in the course of work.
  • Knowledge of Radiology Procedures, CPT and ICD-10 coding.
  • Ability to use a computer in an office setting and proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Light typing required
  • Medical terminology required.
  • Knowledge of diagnostic testing script or written order policies and regulations.

The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. Please keep in mind that the range that is listed is the full base salary range. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical.
