Merchandise Sales Role

This is a unique opportunity for an individual with exceptional customer service skills to join our team in Esperance, Australia. With over 50 years of combined experience, we understand the local agriculture industry and are well-equipped to assist farmers with every rural supply need.

About the Opportunity:

This full-time permanent position reports directly to the Operations Manager and focuses on developing strong relationships with both internal and external customers. Our customer base includes local farmers, primary producers, and trade clientele. Key responsibilities include providing knowledge and support to existing and new customers, processing sales orders, managing stock control, and preparing orders for delivery.

  • Expert advice on product pricing, logistics, and availability will be provided to key clients.
  • Ongoing relationships with new and existing clients will be created through proactive solution-based approaches.
  • Excellent customer service will be offered and you will be the primary contact for key clients regarding product information.
About You:

To succeed in this role, you will have previous experience in a team support role within a busy environment. You must have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and an interest in the agriculture industry. Additionally, you will demonstrate:

  • Previous success in a similar sales or business development role.
  • The ability to develop solid, long-term customer relationships.
  • Effective verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive approach to work and practical organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Problem-solving skills and empathy to resolve customer issues promptly.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
