Category Management Professional

Lead category optimization and supply chain management initiatives.

  • Identify domestic and international direct supply channels for business growth.
  • Manage the supply chain life cycle, including sourcing, negotiation, contract management, supplier performance management, risk assessment, and category development.

Develop relationships with internal stakeholders and vendors.

  • Negotiate with suppliers across multiple categories.
  • Visit sites as required to drive business results.
  • Process 'fit for purpose' goods and services aligned with business operating models.
  • Provide procurement support during expenditure process.
  • Implement best practice systems for freight forwarding, shipping, warehousing, courier management, inventory control, reporting, shipment tracking, and KPIs.
  • Collaborate in financial analysis and modelling.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, quality, and environmental standards, maintaining a safe work environment and promptly reporting any issues.

Key Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in business or commerce preferred.
  • Significant experience in supply chain management across multiple categories.
  • Previous experience in corporate environments dealing with complex organizational structures.
  • Experience in hospitality industries, especially remote locations, is advantageous.
