The Role:
As the Operational Excellence Lead, you will be instrumental in empowering our Operations team to achieve and sustain high performance. Leveraging data-driven insights, you will identify and implement improvement opportunities that enhance safety, quality, and efficiency while aligning with our broader business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse workflows and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Lead and support cross-functional improvement teams.
- Implement initiatives to reduce rework, improve yield and quality and increase efficiency.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure sustainable change.
- Monitor and report on key operational metrics and project outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in a similar role within the manufacturing sector is highly valued, though not a strict requirement.
- Capable of identifying and implementing solutions to drive improvements in Labour Efficiency and Raw Material Wastage.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel with strong expertise in advanced functions and data manipulation.
- Knowledge in 5s methodology, Root Cause Analysis, Lean Manufacturing principles, Kaizen, JIT or Six Sigma practices.
- Intermediate-level skills in Power BI for data visualization and reporting - highly regarded.
- A collaborative mindset and a passion for continuous improvement.
