About the Role

The Senior Cloud Platform Specialist is a key position within Datacom, responsible for the management of our cloud infrastructure with a focus on continuous improvement and delivery excellence.

This role requires a professional technical engineer with expertise across a broad range of technologies, including cloud computing, networking, and storage. The successful candidate will maintain up-to-date knowledge of deployed technologies and hold relevant professional certifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and maintain various technologies deployed to deliver the Datacom Cloud, including compute, storage, data protection, networking, and automation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop a single cloud vision and value proposition.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues, communicating effectively with stakeholders and customers.
  • Engage with customers to ensure their requirements are met, delivering positive outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with Datacom Cloud Operational and Information Security Management policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Stay informed about market and industry developments, providing insights to management and relevant staff.
  • Support and manage Datacom Cloud platform devices and applications.
  • Participate in 24x7 on-call support roster.
Requirements
  • High-level knowledge of cloud computing technologies.
  • Experience working in multi-tenanted cloud environments.
  • Expertise in networking, including Cisco switching and routing, SDN, ACI, and VMware NSX-T.
  • Practical experience with virtualized environments, including VMware, Hyper-V, or other hypervisors.
  • Experience with enterprise storage platforms, fibre channel switching infrastructure, and associated management platforms.
  • Practical experience with enterprise backup management platforms, such as NetBackup, Veeam, or TSM.
  • Experience with automation languages, practices, and toolsets.
