About the Role

The Senior Cloud Platform Specialist is a key position within Datacom, responsible for the management of the Datacom Cloud. This role requires a relentless focus on continuous improvement of cloud operations and associated delivery leveraging agile methodologies.

The ideal candidate will have high-level knowledge of various technologies underpinning the Datacom Private Cloud, including compute, storage, data protection, networking, and automation. Experience working in a multi-tenanted Cloud environment is essential, as is practical experience with Virtualised environments running on VMware, Hyper-V, or other hypervisors.

The Senior Cloud Platform Specialist will be responsible for collaborating with stakeholders across Datacom to produce a single cloud vision and value proposition. This includes demonstrating proactive ownership of identified issues, effective communication for suggested resolution efforts, and proactive engagement with customers to ensure their requirements are continually being met with positive outcomes.

The role also requires compliance with all Datacom Cloud Operational and Information Security Management policies, procedures, and processes to ensure an exceptional level of quality. Additionally, the successful candidate will maintain awareness and knowledge of current market and industry developments and provide suitable interpretation to Management and relevant staff within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support of various technologies deployed to deliver the Datacom Cloud
  • Collaboration with stakeholders to produce a single cloud vision and value proposition
  • Proactive ownership of identified issues and effective communication for suggested resolution efforts
  • Proactive engagement with customers to ensure their requirements are continually being met with positive outcomes
  • Compliance with all Datacom Cloud Operational and Information Security Management policies, procedures, and processes
  • Maintenance of awareness and knowledge of current market and industry developments

What You'll Bring

  • High-level knowledge of various technologies underpinning the Datacom Private Cloud
  • Experience working in a multi-tenanted Cloud environment
  • Practical experience with Virtualised environments running on VMware, Hyper-V, or other hypervisors
  • Practical experience with Enterprise Storage platforms, fibre channel switching infrastructure, and associated Management platforms
  • Practical experience with Enterprise Backup Management Platforms
  • Experience with automation languages, practices, and toolsets
