Key Roles and Responsibilities

The Procurement Operations Specialist will be accountable for undertaking a range of analytical, technical and support activities within the procurement function.

This position will deliver an effective balance of supporting procurement governance & continuous improvement initiatives and system administration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct and analyse supplier due diligence for the organisation (through Jaggaer), in conjunction with Procurement Business Partners (as required).
  • Proactively identify industry trends and developments to assist the organisation to better manage its supply chain risks.
  • Where appropriate, and in conjunction with Procurement Business Partners and / or business, undertake supplier site visits.
  • Implement agreed continuous improvement initiatives for Procurement processes and technology.
  • Developing robust, detailed spend models using data from a variety of sources, providing insight into supply markets and internal demand analysis.
  • Derive meaningful insights from a variety of differing and complex datasets for decision-making.
  • Manage and maintain the organisation's procurement technology (Jaggaer) and integration with other technologies.
  • Support the design and maintenance of processes and technology workflows that drive procurement value generation through simplicity and efficiency whilst supporting appropriate governance.
  • Uplift and enhance existing processes, forms, workflows and data within Jaggaer.
  • Provide Level 1-2 support of Procurement Technology including bug fixes, supplier escalations, new system / process scoping and system enhancements.
  • Support development and maintenance of documentation for Level 1 to Level 2 processes, workflows and integrations including data dictionaries and training material.
  • Support regular reporting of procurement metrics, achievements, supply chain data (including, but not limited to spend, contract and risks) and other appropriate information to deliver value to key stakeholders and decision makers within the organisation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Commerce or Economics (desirable).
  • Strong and demonstrable experience with Microsoft PowerBI, Excel and PowerPoint skills from gathering raw data to transforming them into actionable insights and presentation for decision-making purposes.
  • Knowledge or experience with Procurement concepts, high level objectives and function activities.
  • Knowledge of general supply-chain risks trends and considerations.
  • Experience with Source-to-Contract solutions such as Jaggaer, Zycus, Ariba (desirable).
  • Proven skills and experience in developing and managing complex datasets.
  • Strong analytical aptitude.
  • Factual, data-driven decision making.
  • Articulate communicator / presenter.
  • Problem solving and analytics.
