As part of our continued partnership, we are looking for a Business Analyst to join their team on a 12 months fixed term contract basis in Melbourne.
This is an opportunity to bring your expertise as a seasoned Business Analyst to work with a team solely dedicated to providing tax effective investment solutions to Australians.
The Role: Reporting to the IT Business Analyst Lead, the Business Analyst role is pivotal to the achievement of our objectives and will be working closely with the IT team to provide support to the Fund Operations team on a range of projects.
The Business Analyst will be responsible for driving the implementation of strategic initiatives and system enhancements that create operational efficiency, regulatory compliance and industry best practices.
This role requires a thorough understanding of investment operations processes and experience in delivering system enhancements.
The Business Analyst will be responsible for acting as the interface between stakeholders across the Fund Operations team and technology including vendor development and testing teams.
Role Responsibilities: Elicit and analyse business, functional and non-functional requirements from stakeholders using a variety of engaging collaboration methods.
Develop and validate business requirements documents, maintaining a high level of requirements quality, including use of As-is / To-be process models.
Collaborate with third-party vendors and inhouse subject matter experts to determine the most appropriate technical solution and validate against documented requirements.
Analyse data to identify trends, risks or opportunities.
Ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and policies.
Manage and co-ordinate project cost and effort estimates with technology vendors and internal Test Team using internal Estimation process.
Manage scope creep throughout the lifecycle of the project using internal Change Management process to mitigate risks to costs and timeline.
Support the Test Team during test preparation activities and execution, assisting in defect root cause analysis, clarification of requirements and expected results.
Assessing change impact and managing change into the organization, in conjunction with the Fund Operations team.
Train the Fund Operations team on new solutions, in preparation for implementation of the project into the business environment.
Support implementation of projects into the Production environment through creation of implementation artefacts i.e.
implementation & deployment plans and CAB documentation.
Support end-users post implementation of the new solution.
