Quality Assurance Specialist

JBS Australia is a leader in the food industry, with a strong portfolio of leading and renowned beef, lamb, pork, salmon, and value-added branded products.
The JBS Beef City Plant is part of the integrated facility, specialising in grain-fed beef production. This plant employs approximately 850 employees with a current processing capacity of 999 cattle per day.
This role plays an integral part in monitoring, reporting, and rectifying issues within product, hygiene, and food safety throughout the Plant. Key responsibilities will include conducting pre-operational hygiene assessments, meat hygiene inspections, and microbial samplings, as well as maintaining quality assurance programs.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, environmental policies, quality assurance, and management systems.
- Timely and accurate record keeping and information flow.
- Participate in projects and other related activities as required.
About You:
- Prior experience in a similar quality assurance position.
- Experience within the meat industry is advantageous.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient computer and Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating organisational and time management skills.
- Flexibility to work different shifts when required.
