About the Role

Cocoon Group Services is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to join our team in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with complex needs. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in assisting participants with daily living activities, personal care, and promoting their independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support and assistance to participants with daily living activities, personal care, and mobility
  • Assist participants with meal preparation, medication management, and other daily tasks
  • Encourage and support participants to engage in activities that promote their independence and well-being
  • Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to participants
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in disability support or a related field
  • Experience working with individuals with complex needs and high medical requirements
  • Clear and effective communication skills and ability to establish professional relationships with participants and their families
  • Flexibility to work a 7-day roster, including overnight shifts and weekends
  • Current First Aid, CPR, NDIS Orientation, COVID Infection Control, NDIS Workers Screening, Working with Children Check, and National Police Check
  • Current Open Driver's Licence
