About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced operations manager to lead our team at the Plough Hotel. As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the venue, including managing staff, maintaining high standards of customer service, and driving sales growth.

Your primary focus will be on developing and implementing strategies to improve operational efficiency, enhance customer experience, and increase revenue. You will work closely with the General Manager to achieve business objectives and contribute to the overall success of the hotel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the front-of-house and back-of-house operations, ensuring seamless service delivery and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Develop and implement training programs to upskill staff and enhance their knowledge of food, beverages, and hospitality services.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to inform business decisions and drive revenue growth.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service, responding promptly to guest complaints and resolving issues efficiently.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Hospitality leadership experience, preferably in food and beverage management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a large team.
  • Operational expertise, with a focus on financial management, inventory control, and supply chain optimization.
  • Highly developed problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • A current RSA, RSG, and Gaming Licence, or willingness to obtain.
