Job Overview

The Plough Hotel, a renowned destination in North Melbourne's vicinity, is seeking an exceptional Assistant Manager to lead their team.

This dynamic role offers a comprehensive compensation package, including a competitive salary of approximately $74,000, plus superannuation and additional benefits.

About the Role

In this position, you will be responsible for inspiring and motivating the team to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Your duties will encompass managing day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures, back-of-house administration, recruiting and training staff, rostering, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a large, multi-skilled team to achieve exceptional results
  • Manage venue operations, including recruitment, rostering, and administration
  • Drive business growth through creative initiatives and a passion for delivering exceptional food and beverage experiences

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Hospitality/Retail leadership experience, preferably with a focus on food, bars, and gaming
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and coach a high-performing team
  • Operational experience to drive financial and business success
  • Excellent customer service skills and a strong focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences
  • A current industry RSA, RSG, and Gaming Licence
