We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team at Faac Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service and maintenance to our clients.

About the Role

As a Field Service Technician, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, providing technical advice and support for our access control and mobility solutions. You will be required to work from a service van and will be responsible for carrying out service and preventative maintenance calls, as well as project coordination.

Duties and Responsibilities

Your main tasks will include:

  • Attending field service calls and preventative-maintenance calls;
  • Conducting inspections, fault finding, and diagnostic checks;
  • Providing technical advice and information on all of our products;
  • Assisting with installations where required;
  • Establishing and maintaining service and van stock levels;
  • Liaising with clients to discuss service requirements;
  • Promoting service agreements.

Skills and Experience

Experience in the following areas is highly desirable:

  • Gate motors and automatic doors;
  • Speedgates and pedestrian access control devices;
  • Boom gates, sliding and swing gates, bollards, and other perimeter access products;
  • Parking systems.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Experience in a similar industry;
  • A white card;
  • Excellent time management;
  • An electrical fitter licence or restricted electrical work licence (minimum).
