Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled 3D CAD design specialist to create technical drawings and 3D models, determine factors such as tolerances and dimensioning, and assist with field and manufacturing problems.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating designs in line with company procedures, regulations, and client standards.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Creating Technical Drawings at all levels i.e., Layouts, Arrangements, Assemblies, and Details
  • 3D modelling and detailing using input from engineers and senior designers in the team
  • Determine factors like tolerances, dimensioning, weldability, and ease of assembly
About You:
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline such as mechanical engineering or product design
  • Demonstrated proficiency in 3D CAD software including Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and Navisworks
  • 5+ years' experience in a design role or related experience in bulk material handling or heavy industrial/mining industry
  • Working knowledge of Australian standards such as AS4024, AS1100, AS1654 and AS1657
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and full drivers license
