We are seeking an experienced design drafter to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality design deliverables for industrial and construction projects.

Job Description

As a design drafter, you will work closely with our engineering team to produce 3D models and drawings using Autodesk software such as Inventor and AutoCAD. You will also prepare fabrication drawings and Bills of Materials (BOM) to ensure seamless execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce high-quality 3D models and drawings using Autodesk software
  • Prepare fabrication drawings and BOMs
  • Collaborate with other designers to ensure timely delivery of projects
  • Use Vault and BIM360 for control of CAD deliverables, versioning, reviews, and approvals
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 10+ years of experience in 2D/3D Autodesk design software
  • Prior exposure to industrial environments and relevant experience gained within an engineering consultancy
  • Ability to multitask and problem-solve
  • An eye for detail and desire to achieve 100% accuracy
  • Recognised engineering qualification at Diploma level or above
  • A good understanding of Australian Standards
  • High-level computer literacy with MS software
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
  • Ability to meet deadlines with minimum direction
  • High level of drive and working on own initiative
