We are seeking a skilled Speech Pathologist to join our team at HealthcareLink, where we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional client-centric services.
About the OpportunityThis is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and outcome-focussed Speech Pathologist to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with carers, assistants, and other professionals to deliver effective therapeutic outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive assessments and interventions to clients with communication and swallowing difficulties, aiming to achieve optimal independence and quality of life.
- Develop and implement augmentative and alternative communication systems tailored to individual clients' needs.
- Train carers in effective communication strategies and work with them to develop mealtime plans and support.
- Collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team to achieve functional goals and provide high-quality care.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Speech Pathology or equivalent qualification.
- Certified Practicing Speech Pathology Australia membership.
- Demonstrated knowledge of functional communication and swallowing assessments, interventions, and outcome measures.
- NDIS experience is preferable but not essential.
- A strong passion for assisting clients to reach their full potential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
