Project Financial Manager

This role involves acting as a financial business partner to the Operation Manager and Project Managers, covering all financial and commercial matters, and driving project performance.

  • Responsible for managing all financial, commercial, and tax aspects such as revenue recognition methods, billing plans, payment securities, GST, and other indirect taxes.
  • Support project invoices and liquidate outstanding amounts, manage currency risk, tax issues, bonds, guarantees, and coordinate financial accounting and reporting.
  • Drive and seek optimization of project cash flow, revenues, and gross margin contribution together with Project Managers.
  • Establish project governance processes, participate in opportunity/risk identification, ensure mitigation actions are timely implemented, and drive monthly project reviews jointly with Project Managers.
  • Review and have joint responsibility with Project Managers for all financial aspects of the project, including estimate at completion and related cost-to-complete, forecasting revenues and cash inflows/outflows.
  • Implement actions to reach forecasts, drive problem-solving activities to ease bottlenecks and risks, opportunities assessment, and ensure alignment with other functions, including Project Controls, planning/scheduling.
  • Take responsibility for reviewing and updating project review templates/materials for onward review with stakeholders, updating reports for projects on a monthly basis, promoting awareness in the project team, and providing input to project execution plans.
  • Drive claim management, back-charges, insurance cases, and monitor proper follow-up together with Contract Managers/Project Managers upstream (towards customers) and downstream (towards suppliers).
  • Follow up on internal project audit reports and ensure timely implementation of required actions related to projects under responsibility.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate governance, integrity, assurance, internal control, group charter, business-specific directives, and instructions.
  • Drive, set up, and close all taxation matters pending against projects along with Project Managers and responsible to close all taxation documentation of projects.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Requirements:
  • University degree or CPA in accounting/finance.
  • More than 3 years of relevant project business controlling experience.
  • Expert knowledge of IFRS, USGAAP standard accounting.
  • Leadership skills to manage different cultures and cross-function leads.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving skills, and capable of working effectively under own initiative.
