As a strategic financial professional, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our organization. We are seeking a skilled Manager to lead our NWEACH Project Accounting and Treasury function.

Job Summary:

The Manager of NWEACH Project Accounting and Treasury is responsible for the analysis of financial performance, planning, and reporting. This includes cash flow and investment management for the New Windsor Essex Acute Care Hospital project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all project accounting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Infrastructure Ontario project standards.
  • Oversee internal and external financial reporting for the project.
  • Collaborate with the finance team and project vendors to ensure accurate and timely processing of expenditures.
  • Assist the project team with accounting-related questions or needs.
  • Manage invoices, payments, and maintain compliance with Infrastructure Ontario and Ministry of Health project reporting requirements.
  • Track actual expenditures against multi-phase capital project budgets.
  • Model and predict cash flow requirements relative to planning grants, funding, and other sources.
  • Support the Vice-President of Redevelopment with financial reporting submissions.
  • Examine and interpret data to produce meaningful financial planning reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Excellent conceptual, analytical, and systems-thinking skills.
  • Good written and oral communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience with complex treasury functions, including cash flow forecasting, cash management, and investment management.
  • Ability to analyze and report on large amounts of data.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Able to navigate relationships with stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Ability to communicate financial concepts to non-financial members of the team.
Qualifications:
  • University degree in a related discipline such as management, economics, or business administration.
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation with current membership in good standing.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • 2-5 years' experience as a project accountant or similar.
  • Particular knowledge of construction projects is essential.
  • Advanced proficiency in cash flow forecasting and management is essential.
  • Knowledge and experience with Infrastructure Ontario project accounting guidelines and compliance framework an asset.
