First Nations Cultural Liaison Officer

Job Description

This role provides an opportunity to work closely with First Nations people and organisations, building meaningful connections and fostering a deeper understanding of the community's needs.

The successful applicant will contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to improve cultural competency across our team, as well as support the delivery of First Nations-related projects.

Key responsibilities include improving relationships between Central West Local Land Services and local First Nations groups, providing cultural training and capacity building, and identifying areas of mutual benefit for sustainable agricultural practices and natural resource management.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and community engagement skills, particularly in engaging with First Nations communities. They will also possess advanced collaboration and project management skills, including experience working with small project teams.
