Job Title: Aboriginal Consultant Officer
About the RoleThe position of Aboriginal Consultant Officer is a critical role within the Child Wellbeing Unit. As a member of this team, you will work closely with child protection and wellbeing experts to conduct risk appraisals and provide specialist advice and support.
You will engage with stakeholders to increase confidence, awareness, and appropriate responses to Aboriginal children and families for early intervention to prevent escalation into the statutory system.
- This is an identified position in accordance with Section 14 (d) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977– only suitably qualified Aboriginal people are eligible for this position and are encouraged to apply.
- This recruitment may be used to create an Eligibility List for similar roles in the future.

As an Aboriginal Consultant Officer, your key responsibilities will include:
