Clinical Academic Specialist

Our institution is seeking a Specialist Periodontist to contribute to clinical teaching, research and service engagement. This position involves a combination of teaching, research and supervision responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities- Clinical teaching including course coordination, preparing and delivering lectures, assessing students and contributing to innovative curriculum design.
- Maintaining an active record of research outputs, participating in applications for research funding as chief investigator and contributing to knowledge transfer.
- Supervising HDR students as well as students enrolled in advanced or speciality training programs, developing researcher capability and facilitating engagement opportunities for supervisees.
- Developing partnerships, demonstrating leadership through mentoring, engaging in internal service roles and committees, performing administrative functions and providing support to colleagues.
- Completion of an advanced professional qualification and/or a PhD in Periodontics.
- An established profile in clinical teaching and/or clinical research in Periodontics, with expert industry knowledge and extensive experience in a general or specialist capacity.
- A record of peer-reviewed publications in reputed refereed journals and presenting at conferences, in conjunction with evidence of contribution towards successful applications for external research funding.
