Job Title:

Corporate Financial Insights Specialist

Perenti is a diversified global mining services company with businesses in surface and underground mining. The group was founded in Kalgoorlie in 1987 and is one of the world's largest companies providing surface and underground mining at scale.

The Corporate Finance and Corporate Technology team requires a highly efficient and reliable professional to join their ranks as a Corporate Business Analyst. This role reports to the Manager Financial Planning and Analysis and focuses on supporting the Corporate Finance and Corporate Technology team, ensuring the integrity of financial information, and enhancing cost visibility and accountability.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Month-end accounting requirements for the Corporate Function including accruals and cost allocations.
  2. Ensure the integrity of Corporate financial information, including preparation and posting of accounting adjustments, accounting advice to stakeholders, and adherence to group financial control standards.
  3. Monthly reporting and variance analysis supporting the Corporate Function.
  4. Provide support to the FP&A Manager and Corporate Business Partner to enhance cost visibility and accountability.
  5. Identify and implement process improvements in planning & reporting to create efficiencies.
  6. Other financial reporting & analysis duties, as required.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary accounting qualification.
  • CA/CPA qualified (or working towards).
  • 3 years' experience in accounting or analyst role with demonstrated technical accounting skills and analytical skills.
  • A keen eye for detail and a meticulous approach to work.
  • Good communication and presentation skills and the ability to communicate to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proficient use of Excel.
  • ERP experience preferred but not essential.
