About Our Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Banking Consultant to join our team at Suncorp Bank. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing the financial needs of customers and providing tailored solutions to meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate opportunities for deposits and home lending using our agreed sales process.
  • Provide recommendations to the Branch Manager for initiatives to improve sales performance.
  • Assess customer needs through open and targeted communication, and recommend appropriate options using our agreed sales process.
  • Provide accurate and timely service by processing over-the-counter transactions in an efficient and accurate manner.
  • Actively promote and support customers in the use of alternative electronic distribution methods for conducting day-to-day banking.
  • Support and demonstrate a risk management culture in line with Suncorp Bank's values.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in business, commercial or finance are desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in a retail customer sales & service environment.
  • Analytical skills – ability to develop solutions and courses of action.
  • Attention to detail – accurately checking and processing tasks.
  • Change Management – ability to recognise, understand and support need for change.
  • Commercial Acumen – ability to recognise and implement business strategies to drive profitable growth.
  • Communication Skills – ability to convey and explain information, coherently and confidently both oral and written.
