About Our Occupational Therapy Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team in delivering high-quality services to consumers with mental health needs.

  • Develop and implement occupational therapy interventions tailored to consumer requirements.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to inform rehabilitation planning and ensure the best possible outcomes for consumers.
  • Provide support and guidance to consumers in developing living skills essential for community tenure, promoting independence and well-being.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team, providing direction and supervision to rehabilitation support workers and OT students as needed.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A relevant degree or equivalent qualification allowing full registration as an Occupational Therapist with AHPRA.
  • Extensive experience engaging consumers in therapeutic relationships, particularly those with enduring disabilities and complex needs, with a focus on delivering person-centred care.
  • Strong competence in mental health assessment skills, including consumer needs analysis, mental state assessment, and risk assessment, with a commitment to staying up-to-date with best practices.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with consumers, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated rehabilitation plans that meet individual needs and promote optimal outcomes.
