About the Role

This is a highly skilled position that requires a professional with expertise in heat pump systems engineering and software development. The successful candidate will assist in designing market-leading commercial pool and hot water heat pump water heating products.

  • Developing engineering controls and software for heat pump systems is a key responsibility of this role.
  • Prototyping and testing new control systems and product concepts will also be undertaken by the successful candidate.
  • Documenting designs with CAD models, technical specifications, BOMs, and test reports is essential to ensuring the quality and accuracy of our products.
  • The successful candidate will also support production by improving reliability, reducing costs, and enhancing product performance.
  • Project managing and collaborating cross-functionally with various teams including Marketing, Operations, and EMS providers will be required.
  • Comparative testing on competitor products will also be undertaken.
  • Providing technical advice across departments and representing R&D on project teams is an important aspect of this role.

About You

To succeed in this role you will need:

  • A Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or relevant work history.
  • Knowledge of Carel controllers and programming tools or equivalent HVAC controllers.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of Structured Text programming language.
  • Experience in electrical design and/or wiring is essential.
  • Experience with various BMS protocols is also desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team is crucial for success in this role.
  • Experience with project management in a design & manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Experience in a research or product development organisation is also beneficial.
  • Experience in any type of refrigeration technology is desirable.
  • Experience working with Australian Standards as a regulatory framework is essential.
