
Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Required

We are seeking a skilled and experienced technician to conduct routine maintenance and repairs on heavy military vehicles.
- Conduct technical inspections and classifications
- Repair or replace worn or faulty parts by removing assemblies such as engines, transmissions and differentials
- Reassemble, test, clean and adjust repaired or replaced parts
- Carry out minor body repairs and trim work
- Test and repair electrical systems
- Inspect vehicles and issue road worthiness certificates
- Certification in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience in inspecting, repairing and maintaining light, medium and heavy vehicles
- Current Australian State or Territory class C Driver's License
- Ability to obtain and maintain Defence Security Clearance
This is a key role within our Defence Maintenance Contract team based at Amberley. As a Heavy Vehicle Technician, you will play a critical part in ensuring the safety and reliability of our vehicles.
As a successful candidate, you will be responsible for conducting routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of heavy military vehicles. This includes 4WDs, trucks, tracked and armoured vehicles, infantry personnel carriers and even armoured tanks.
