Vehicle Mechanic Role

We are seeking a skilled vehicle mechanic to conduct routine maintenance and repairs on heavy military vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct technical inspections and classifications of vehicles
  • Repair or replace worn or faulty parts by removing assemblies such as engines, transmissions, and differentials
  • Reassemble, test, clean, and adjust repaired or replaced parts
  • Carry out minor body repairs and minor trim repairs
  • Test and repair electrical systems such as lighting, ignition, and electronic fuel injection
  • Inspect vehicles and issue road worthiness certificates
Requirements
  • Cert III Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent level
  • Open to Light Vehicle Mechanics with demonstrated heavy vehicle experience
  • Demonstrated experience in inspecting, repairing, and maintaining light, medium, and heavy vehicles
  • Must possess a current Australian State or Territory Class C Driver's License
  • You must be an Australian Citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance

The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with heavy machinery and a strong understanding of mechanical principles. They will also have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
