We're seeking a Cyber Security Governance Specialist to drive expertise in informing and validating cyber security controls against regulated requirements.

This role involves collaborating with enterprise architects and project managers to ensure security requirements are architected into new and existing products and services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving cyber security governance and controls alignment to regulations, standards, policies, procedures for both third parties and in-house operations.
  • Ensuring cyber controls compliance and reported against APRA CPS234 and related third-party management, PCI-DSS, policy, and industry standards.
  • Collaborating with peers in the Cyber Security team, IT department, 3rd-party security partners, as well as internal customers within the business.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong ability to collaborate with stakeholders, business owners, technical teams to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders and make recommendations to senior management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A thorough understanding of security principles, techniques, protocols.
  • A thorough knowledge of Australian Prudential Regulation Authority CPS234, NIST Cyber Security Framework, Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard, and security training awareness.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Information Security Qualification (e.g., Bachelor of Science degree and/or Certifications like CISSP, CISM, SANS GSEC, SABSA).
  • Proven work experience in Cyber Security Governance or Information Security Governance, Security Solution Design architecture.
  • Experience in financial/insurance institutions highly desirable.
