About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Fleet Coordinator to oversee the safe and efficient management of our mobile equipment fleet. This key role involves ensuring compliance with site procedures and legislation, as well as promoting a strong safety culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote a robust safety culture aligned with our Safety Management System (SHMS) and relevant legislation.
  • Ensure all mobile equipment maintenance adheres to site procedures, statutory requirements, and OEM recommendations.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages teamwork and results-oriented approaches among maintenance teams.
  • Conduct regular inspections, audits, and compliance checks on equipment and maintenance practices.
  • Oversee day-to-day scheduling, coordination, and tracking of maintenance for the mobile fleet.
  • Coordinate with contractors to ensure accurate and timely schedules and integration into the site master plan.
  • Offer guidance and support to crews and contractors, facilitating effective communication of work priorities.
  • Drive accountability for schedule compliance and proactive maintenance practices.
  • Monitor fleet performance, downtime, and reliability Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent.
  • Identify recurring issues, recommend solutions, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Previous experience in fleet or maintenance coordination within mining or heavy industry.
  • Strong knowledge of mobile equipment.
  • Experience with work management systems.
  • Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • A proactive mindset with a strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to influence and engage across crews, contractors, and leadership.
