Family Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Family Support Specialist. This role involves working closely with families, observing and supporting the progression of children's learning and development, and maintaining strong linkages with local services.
Key Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with Centre Directors, Educators, and other stakeholders to identify and support the needs of children and families.
- Develop and maintain relationships with families to ensure their inclusion and participation in their child's care and education.
- Streamline referral pathways into and out of the centre, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration with local services.
- Conduct regular supervision sessions with the National Manager – Child and Family Service or Child and Family Team Leader, ensuring ongoing professional growth and development.
- Tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology, or a related field.
- Strong understanding and ability to apply attachment theory, Circle of Security (COS), and trauma-informed practice.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and coaching skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with families and stakeholders.
