
Transform Lives as a Specialist Clinical/Health Care Professional

As a Senior Clinical Psychologist/Health Psychologist, you will be working in an inpatient hospital setting to provide specialized psychological assessments and interventions for patients with complex medical, functional, and psychosocial needs.
Transforming lives as part of a multidisciplinary team is a key aspect of this role. You'll work closely with colleagues to promote person-centered and trauma-informed care through consulting on and reviewing Positive Behaviour Support Plans.
The Geriatric Memory Support Unit provides care for inpatients who are medically stable and waiting transition to a community Residential Aged Care Facility. Your primary focus will be providing specialist Clinical/Health Psychology services including assessment, treatment planning, intervention, positive behaviour support planning, evaluation, and consultation to patients and their carers individually and in group settings.
About the role:
Some of your duties may include:
- Providing specialist psychological treatments and interventions.
- Participating in interdisciplinary clinical and planning activities to enhance the overall service provided to clients.
- Developing systems for monitoring, reviewing, and improving the standards of services to clients.
Key requirements for the role include:
- Full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA), with an Area of Endorsement in Clinical Psychology or Health Psychology.
- Hold approved supervisor status with the PsyBA at all levels of supervision, or: Eligible to complete PsyBA-accredited supervision training and willing to undertake this training at the direction of the organisation.
- Experience providing psychological treatments.
- A high level of ability to design, implement, and evaluate psychological procedures and interventions.
- Ability to apply specialist skills in resolving clinical problems.
- Demonstrated abilities in communication, liaison, and teamwork.
