Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accounting Specialist to join our team in a fast-paced SaaS environment.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the accuracy and timeliness of our financial operations.

  • Ensure day-to-day financial accounting and month-end processes are carried out efficiently and effectively.
  • Prepare and post journals, reconciliations, and adjustments across key accounts, including revenue, payroll, and accruals.
  • Support the preparation of monthly management reports, board packs, and variance analysis to inform business decisions.
  • Maintain compliance with tax, BAS, payroll tax, and statutory obligations.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement automation tools and financial controls using technology and AI where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with non-finance teams to streamline financial processes, support cash management, and provide financial insights.
  • Contribute to building a high-performance finance function that is proactive and value-adding to the overall business.
Required Skills and Qualifications

A strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and/or international accounting standards is essential.

A proactive, self-starting mindset, excellent attention to detail, verbal and written communication skills, and stakeholder management are required.
