About This Role

This is a 6-7 month fixed-term contract.

As a Financial Account Specialist, you will oversee debtor accounts, ensure timely collections and contribute to the company's financial health through meticulous account management, effective communication with customers, and efficient reconciliation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster strong relationships with customers through professional and prompt interactions.
  • Approve new credit accounts, manage existing ones and ensure timely collections via phone calls, statements and escalation processes.
  • Audit accounts to ensure balances are accurate and promptly settled.
  • Maintain thorough administrative practices to meet deadlines, keep work areas organized and streamline processes to improve efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with the Accounts Team to achieve collection targets and support each other's efforts.
  • Assist the wider team as the business transitions to an alcohol portfolio; participate in projects around system and process improvement.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a financial role or accounts payable position.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with exceptional multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in SAP software.
  • Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of basic risk assessment.
  • Proactive self-motivated individual comfortable taking initiative.
  • Goal-oriented with a growth mindset and drive to advance career.
  • Excellent time management skills with ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
