About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned transparency professional to oversee the implementation of policies for our Freedom of Information program. This includes managing requests for information, facilitating openness, and ensuring excellent record management throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and develop policies and processes to ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Serve as a point of contact for the public and internal stakeholders regarding Freedom of Information requests and related matters.
  • Play a key role in the design, delivery, and review of our compliance education program.
  • Promote a culture of transparency and accountability within the organization, advocating for the release of information where appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Freedom of Information laws and regulations, as well as a strong understanding of governance and policy frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with the public and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills to manage Freedom of Information requests and related processes efficiently.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance with Freedom of Information laws and regulations.
