Medical Equipment SpecialistAbout the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Equipment Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our group, you will be responsible for providing biomedical engineering services to advanced radiation therapy apparatus used in cancer treatment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Service, repair, and maintenance of radiation therapy equipment.
  • Respond flexibly to maintain clinical services.
  • Communicate openly with the medical physics and broader clinical team, equipment suppliers, and service agents.
  • Maintain records in accordance with requirements.
Key Qualifications:
  • Diploma of Electronics & Communications Engineering (or equivalent) or Electronics Trade certificate with extensive practical experience, or 5 years' experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of complex electro-mechanical systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to provide clear technical advice to equipment stakeholders.
  • Ability and willingness to perform repairs and maintenance to radiation oncology equipment including high-energy x-ray medical linear accelerators and equipment containing radioactive substances. Willingness to undertake necessary training, including overseas training if required.
  • Team player with organisational skills including multitasking, prioritising, and adapting to rapid change.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a small team environment. You will also possess a strong understanding of biomedical engineering principles and practices, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment.
