Job Title: Wellbeing Care Support Specialist

This is a unique opportunity to join our team as a Wellbeing Care Support Specialist in Runaway Bay.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate individual to provide high-quality care and support to residents, helping them explore their interests and live fulfilling lives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service, building strong relationships with residents and colleagues alike, and promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and understanding.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for providing daily living support, including assisting with mealtimes, outings, and personal care needs. You will also play a key role in planning and delivering activities that promote social engagement, mental stimulation, and overall wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality care and support to residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in consultation with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting a sense of belonging and connection
  • Collaborate with the care team to plan and deliver activities that meet the diverse needs and interests of residents
  • Maintain accurate records of resident interactions, care plans, and progress
  • Contribute to a positive and respectful work environment, promoting a culture of open communication and teamwork

Requirements

  • Diploma or Certificate III in Leisure and Lifestyle or Individual Support (or willingness to complete)
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Australian driver's licence
  • Previous experience in caring for elders within an Aged Care or community setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
