Job Description

The Maintenance Fitter plays a pivotal role in leading preventative and corrective maintenance activities across a busy site, driving improvements in equipment reliability and plant efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure plant and equipment are in a safe, operable condition to guarantee optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Implement and carry out preventative, corrective, and shutdown maintenance tasks to extend equipment lifespan and enhance overall productivity.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and conduct root cause analysis to identify areas for improvement and optimize maintenance strategies.
  • Plan and supervise contractor activities, ensuring safe and timely execution of tasks and adhering to company policies and regulations.
  • Identify and drive process improvements for cost, quality, and reliability to enhance the organization's operational efficiency and competitiveness.
  • Manage maintenance records and documentation for traceability and compliance with industry standards (ISO 9001).
  • Utilize maintenance software to issue and close out work orders and permits, streamlining the maintenance process and enhancing collaboration among team members.
  • Procure maintenance materials and manage spare parts inventory to ensure availability and minimize stockouts.
  • Participate in the on-call roster for breakdown and emergency support, providing prompt assistance to address critical issues and maintain business continuity.
