This permanent full-time position is based in Wagga Wagga and offers a unique opportunity to work as a Geotechnical Scientist within the Pavements & Geotechnical Services unit.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct investigations, analyses, and provide advice on pavements, geotechnical, and materials aspects for infrastructure projects.
- Support projects, provide technical services, participate in multi-function teams, and manage geotechnical risk by developing standards and practices.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A tertiary qualification in Geology or Civil Engineering (Geotechnical) or a related discipline.
- Substantial working experience with pavements and geotechnical/site investigations for infrastructure projects, particularly in pavement rehabilitation.
- A deep understanding of industry standards and ability to prepare detailed geotechnical reports, slope risk assessments/ remediations, and provide specialist advice.
