Emergency Medicine Specialist Opportunity

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Specialist to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and busy hospital. As a key member of the healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional medical expertise, working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless transitions, and contributing to the development of the emergency department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver expert medical care to patients presenting to the emergency department, including assessing, diagnosing, and managing acute conditions.
  • Collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient care, ensuring clear communication and handovers.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, taking into account the individual needs and circumstances of each patient.
  • Contribute to the development of the emergency department, participating in quality improvement initiatives, and sharing expertise and knowledge with colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a medical practitioner.
  • Experience in emergency medicine, preferably in a similar setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to think critically and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
