
Statewide Advocate for Vulnerable Populations

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Officer to join our team on a maximum term 12-month contract. This pivotal role will lead the development and implementation of a statewide best-practice, trauma-informed model of care for vulnerable populations.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and deliver the development and provision of contemporary, integrated and evidence-based service delivery in areas of Child Protection, Domestic & Family Violence, elder abuse, sexual assault and safeguarding.
- Conduct needs assessments, service mapping and stakeholder consultations to inform the integrated model and safeguarding standards.
- Operationalise statewide policies and procedures regarding responding and reporting abuse concerns through leading the development of processes, referral pathways and workflows for the integrated service in line with safeguarding requirements.
- Develop clear processes for standardising documentation and storing of records associated with Child Protection and DFV legislative requirements for Health Information Management.
- Current AHPRA registration as a Health Practitioner or eligibility for membership with the relevant allied health professional association (as appropriate).
- OR current AHPRA registration as Registered Nurse or Registered Nurse with Midwife Registration.
- Experience in provision of services to vulnerable and complex populations including child protection and DFV desirable but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated knowledge in safeguarding standards, principles and practices.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in project management, service development or policy implementation preferably in health or social services including service mapping and development of clinical processes and pathways.
- Salary range: $64.64 - $69.55 per hour plus 12% superannuation.
