About the Role
  • Supervision and Leadership: Lead a small team of medical scientists in a laboratory setting, providing guidance and support to enhance their performance and productivity.
  • Workflow Management: Prioritize and manage workflow to meet client deadlines and ensure timely release of results.
  • Liaison with Senior Staff: Collaborate with senior staff and pathologists on unusual test results, resolving issues and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintenance and Operations: Oversee maintenance of laboratory equipment, scheduling routine servicing and addressing any unscheduled issues that may arise.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Review and update laboratory documentation as required, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
About You

To succeed in this position, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in medical science or a related field.
  • At least two years' experience in a scientific role, preferably in a multi-disciplinary setting.
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Results-Oriented Problem-Solving: Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workflow, and deliver results under pressure.
