Laboratory and Technical Support Professional

We are seeking a skilled Laboratory and Technical Support Professional to deliver exceptional educational experiences for Nursing, Midwifery and Medicine undergraduate students.

The successful candidate will ensure all activities are delivered in accordance with established procedures and safety and hygiene legislation. This includes providing technical support and equipment use for classes, intensives, workshops and rotations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support
  • Safety and Hygiene Legislation

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Procurement and Stock Management

Requirements:

  • Degree qualifications and relevant experience or a combination of experience and education.
    • Experience with clinical and simulation laboratories, relevant to health professional education and training.
      • Demonstrated understanding of WHS legislation and its practical application within a laboratory.
      • Informed analytical and problem-solving skills to judge shifting priorities and conflicting deadlines, taking corrective action.
      • Effective written and oral communication skills including interpersonal skills, to deliver customer centric service with positive outcomes.
      • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a member of a team in a high-volume environment.
      • Effective computer and data entry skills using software packages with high attention to detail.
      • Current First Aid Certificate;
      • Current C Class Driver's license; and
      • Working with Children Clearance.
