We are seeking a Project Support Officer to join our team in the ACT, NSW, NT, QLD, SA, TAS, VIC, or WA. This is a 12-month contract with an option for a 12-month extension.

As a Project Support Officer, you will be responsible for assisting the Delivery Team and ensuring the smooth operation of projects. You will also be expected to develop and embed departmental and Divisional project governance processes and reporting capabilities across projects.

  • You will possess excellent interpersonal skills, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively and build productive team and stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience in delivering support and services to projects, either through a formal Project Management Office or through a project support role, is highly desirable.
  • You will have excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, as well as the ability to build productive working relationships in a team environment.
  • A strong organisational skillset, including the ability to multitask and work independently, is essential.
  • You will also possess strong attention to detail and the ability to coordinate and develop materials for senior executives under the direction of a supervisor.
  • Line management and staff support experience is also beneficial.
  • Familiarity with user support roles and proficiency in the use of Altus/Sensei IQ project management system would be advantageous.
  • The ability to create interactive dashboards and analytic commentary using Power BI is also desirable.
  • You will be required to work to tight deadlines and respond quickly and flexibly to changing priorities with determination and confidence.
  • A high degree of capability with Project Management tools, including Budgeting, Reporting, Forecasting, Azure Dev Ops, Altus, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Excel, is expected.

The successful candidate will have at least 3 years of recent experience in a similar role within a medium to large organisation with a strong understanding of ICT development and delivery in a government context.
