About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Coordination Specialist to join our team in Canberra. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the coordination of Assurance Reviews, working closely with Commonwealth agencies to provide advice, guidance, and administrative support.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Day-to-day coordination of Assurance Reviews, including managing multiple reviews concurrently and engaging independent review teams;
  • Preparing planning meeting agendas, maintaining and updating the team's database, and booking travel for reviewers;
  • Engaging with a wide variety of stakeholders, both internal and external to government;
  • Contributing to the team's improvement activities, such as modernising business processes, frameworks, and systems.

What You'll Need

  • Australian citizenship (under section 22(8) of the Public Service Act 1999);
  • A minimum baseline security clearance prior to commencement;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines;
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.

About Us

The Australian Government Department of Finance is responsible for administering the Australian Government Assurance Reviews Process and leading and supporting whole-of-government data initiatives. We provide policy advice to the Minister for Finance and coordinate decisions and actions across Commonwealth agencies.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute towards successful delivery of major projects and programs across government. The successful candidate will have exposure to all aspects of the coordination and commissioning functions as part of on-the-job training and professional development.

Key Requirements

  • Ongoing or non-ongoing position available;
  • Specified term vacancy for an initial period of 18 months, with potential extension up to three years.

Salary Range

$74,012 - $84,472 per annum (APS 4 level).
