The Specialist Family Violence Practitioner is an integral part of our Family Violence Team, delivering comprehensive risk and needs assessments to victim survivors through trauma-informed, systems, and developmental frameworks. You will work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to provide a holistic response for CALD women and young people impacted by family violence, working towards identified goals.
Your role involves providing client-centred casework, utilising the Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management Framework (MARAM) to ensure that service delivery addresses the unique risks, needs, and the impact of trauma posed by family violence to women and children from a CALD background. You will also facilitate referrals for support and liaise with specialist services as required.
You will be responsible for undertaking MARAM risk assessment and mitigation, needs assessment, safety planning, and case planning with women and children using an intersectional lens. This includes coordinating referrals for support and liaising with specialist services as required. You will also support victim survivors accommodated in an emergency accommodation setting.
