Role Overview

As an SMB Account Executive at Afterpay, your primary responsibility will be to facilitate the growth of Afterpay by establishing connections with potential SMB Premium merchants. This role involves both proactive outreach and managing incoming leads. We seek a confident salesperson who is adept at navigating the sales process and comfortable engaging with clients over the phone.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound prospecting through cold calls to create new business opportunities.
  • Increase revenue by onboarding new Premium merchants and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Handle incoming leads with a focus on achieving high conversion rates.
  • Support the onboarding of SMBs and assist in expanding OMNI channel capabilities.
  • Adhere to sales and onboarding protocols to optimize annual sales performance.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities while effectively communicating Afterpay's value proposition.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of Afterpay, market trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Track and report all sales activities and outcomes using Salesforce.

Qualifications

  • Experience in high-volume cold calling and business development is essential.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Salesforce, SalesLoft, or Aircall is preferred.
  • Ability to manage a sales pipeline and analyze data to enhance merchant interactions and meet sales targets.
  • Previous experience in retail or the payments sector is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • A proactive approach to decision-making and a commitment to ethical practices are highly valued.
