As a key member of the Uniting team, our Workplace and Education care coaches embody the principles of Inspired Care.
This position is vital for implementing our person-centred care philosophy.
Our Workplace and Education care coaches collaborate closely with care staff to ensure that services are provided at the highest quality by qualified personnel.
Once established, they proactively identify educational opportunities to engage and enhance the skills of the entire care team.ABOUT THE ROLE
This position involves working at our facility catering to Chinese-speaking clients.
Effectively communicate with clients from diverse backgrounds and serve as a crucial support during their initial adjustment period.
Assist residents by partnering with staff to deliver direct care.
Support Homemakers in fostering teamwork and cultivating a positive home environment.
Organize and facilitate high-quality, timely education to enhance the capabilities of all team members.
Uphold the rights and privacy of our clients, adhering to relevant policies and regulations.
Strive for continuous service improvement to ensure compliance with Aged Care Accreditation Standards.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
QUALIFICATIONS:
Certificate IV in Aged Care with proven care experience – working towards Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment is not mandatory.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Strong understanding of Aged Care Standards
Familiarity with key aged care policies
Excellent communication skills with staff and demonstrated customer service abilities, fostering positive relationships
A talent for collaborative teamwork while also being capable of independent work
Aptitude for problem-solving, negotiation, mediation, and conflict resolution
Meticulous attention to detail
Experience in coordinating and delivering educational programs
Solid understanding of Work Health and Safety principles and risk management practices
Proficient in technology with the ability to document and communicate electronically
Experience with client/care management systems
Strong organizational and time management skills.
DESIRABLE ATTRIBUTES
A good understanding of the health, social, or aged care service sectors
Previous experience in coaching and quality systems management
Current First Aid certification
