Job OpportunityWe are seeking Behaviour Support Practitioners to join our multidisciplinary team, supporting adults and children in community settings.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop person-centred plans that promote positive behaviour support and empower individuals to live more independent lives.
As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will work collaboratively with families, carers, and support networks to build capacity and promote the elimination of restrictive practices. You will also have opportunities for professional growth and development within our organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing person-centred plans that promote positive behaviour support and empower individuals to live more independent lives.
- Working collaboratively with families, carers, and support networks to build capacity and promote the elimination of restrictive practices.
- Promoting best-practice service delivery and acting as a role model for other professionals in the field.
- Participating in ongoing professional development and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualified Behaviour Support Practitioner or equivalent experience working with individuals with disabilities and challenging behaviours.
- Strong assessment and planning skills, with the ability to develop and implement evidence-based interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
