This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with young people aged 16-24 years who are experiencing suicidal thoughts. As a Hope Worker, you will provide support and guidance under the supervision of trained staff.
Our team operates within the framework of Intentional Peer Support, which prioritizes hope over fear and relationships over individual needs. You will focus on building trust, recognizing diverse perspectives, and fostering co-learning and growth.
As a key member of our Luminos team, you will contribute to creating a safe and supportive environment for young people to build resilience and hope. Your lived experience of struggling with thoughts of suicide and your healing journey will be invaluable in connecting with our clients.
To succeed in this role, you should possess essential skills such as effective communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to model personal wellbeing and set boundaries. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and client reporting systems is also required.
We offer a competitive salary package aligned with Level 4 of the Ruah Enterprise Agreement (and the SCHADS Award), starting at $85,399 + superannuation. You will also enjoy comprehensive benefits including annual leave loading, paid parental leave, access to an Employee Assistance Program, and opportunities to participate in various working groups and cultural events.
- Desirable qualifications include education or certifications relevant to mental health peer work.
- A current WA drivers' license, National Police Clearance Certificate, and WA Working with Children Check are mandatory compliance documents.
