About This Opportunity

The Murdoch University Clinical Legal Program is a highly respected initiative that oversees a busy legal practice involving law students.

Our primary objective is to provide essential services to disadvantaged clients while educating lawyers of tomorrow.

In line with Murdoch's commitment to sustainability and equity, our program engages students to develop their work-ready skills, addressing access to justice and equity issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the day-to-day operations of the Southern Communities Advocacy Legal and Education Service office legal practice.
  2. Oversee data entry into the Actionstep database and respond to requirements from SCALES and its funders regarding data collection and provision for reporting purposes.
  3. Direct students and employees as required concerning data collection and entry, file review and audit, etc.
  4. Assist with client work when required.
  5. Provide complete administrative support for the Clinical Practice and staff, including organising meetings for the Director and clients.
  6. Provide assistance and support to various stakeholders involved with SCALES.

Requirements:

  • Associate diploma level qualification or equivalent combination of experience and education/training.
  • High level of computer literacy and proficiency in software such as Actionstep and Microsoft Office.
  • Extensive experience in office administration, organisational, time and workload management skills, effective communication and customer service skills.
